Pries is looking for an Extrusion Press Operator/Utility to add to our 12inch Press crew! Previous Machine Operation a plus but not required. No previous experience needed! Do you have attention to detail and enjoy multitasking, this is a great opportunity for you!
The schedule is 6pm-6am on a 2-2-3 rotation. This gives you a 3 day weekend every other week! Starting at up to $24 per hour! Benefits eligibility after 30 days of employment!
Duties include:
- Assist in completing daily production reports
- Arrange and carry out all die and alloy changes
- Challenge to improve productivity and scrap rates, improve press recipes
- Run production per the schedule for the day and adapt as customer needs change
- Arrange for proper materials to be at press for scheduled runs
- Ensure dies are set up properly and ready for production via the furnace operator
- Assist team lead with machine set up
- Enter production information into company software system
- Occasionally pull random samples for Team Leaders to check conformity
- Responsible for insuring the proper alloy is used for production runs
- Break down dies after extruded
- Place dies in caustic area
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety Department
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
- Clean and organize your work area
