2nd Shift Extrusion Furnace Operator – Die Setup
Pries is hiring! No experience required – we will train the right person!
Pries is looking for an Extrusion Furnace Operator to join our team in a key production role supporting die setup and press operations. This is a great opportunity to start or grow a career in manufacturing with a company that values reliability, safety, and teamwork.
Shift Details
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Monday–Friday
- Occasional Saturday depending on production needs
- Starting pay up to $20/hour – plus shift differential
What You’ll Do
- Perform die setup according to production schedule and specifications
- Operate an overhead crane to move, stage, and organize dies safely
- Verify tool stacks for correct sizing and configuration
- Properly prepare and stage dies in designated ready areas
- Assist press operators during setup and changeovers
- Support production by occasionally running the press during operator breaks
- Pull random samples as requested for quality verification by Team Leaders
- Break down and process dies after extrusion runs
- Place dies into caustic cleaning and repair areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and immediately report unsafe conditions
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
What We’re Looking For
- No previous experience required – training provided
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Dependable with a strong attendance record
- Safety-minded with good communication skills
Requirements
- Metatarsal-guarded steel-toe boots required
- PPE reimbursement available ($150)
